First, there is the main recipe for the burgers and followed are four extra recipes for some of the ingredients, which you can easily make yourself – if you like 😉.

NEXT LEVEL BURGERS ON CARELIA GRILL
makes 8 servings
You’ll need:
8 burger buns
8 burger patties (see recipe below)
8 slices of cheddar cheese
pickled red onions (see recipe below)
beefsteak tomato slices
coleslaw (see recipe below)
smoked cayenne mayonnaise (see recipe below)
lettuce leaves
Patties
1.2 kg minced beef (17% fat)
300 g diced bacon
salt and black pepper to taste
Here’s how you make it:
1. Mix the patty ingredients together and shape them into 8 patties.
2. Transfer the patties to a baking tray with baking paper. (This makes it easy to move them outdoors.)
3. Lightly brush the surface of the patties with oil. Sprinkle with a little black pepper.
4. Light the fire on the Carelia Grill. Place the patties on the grill to cook. Turn the patties every couple of minutes until they are cooked.
5. Add the cheddar cheese slices on top of the cooked patties. Then set the patties aside.
6. Split the burger buns and place them on the grill rack for a while to allow them to get a little color on the bottom.
Assemble the burgers. Spread smoked cayenne mayonnaise on the buns. Fill with tomato slices, lettuce leaves, burger patty, coleslaw, and pickled red onions.
Smoked cayenne mayonnaise
2 dl mayonnaise
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp liquid smoke
½ tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp salt
Here’s how you make it:
Mix all the ingredients together. Put the mayonnaise in the fridge to marinate while you prepare the burgers.
Pickled red onions
1 dl vinegar
2 dl sugar
3 dl water
2 red onions, thin slices
Here’s how you make it:
1. Mix the vinegar, sugar and water together. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
2. Heat the liquid.
3. Pour the liquid over the thinly sliced red onions and refrigerate for an hour.
Coleslaw
½ white cabbage, coarsely grated
3 carrots, coarsely grated
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 ½ dl mayonnaise
salt and ground black pepper to taste
Here’s how you make it:
Mix all the ingredients together and place in the fridge to set and wait to serve.
